Terms of Service

These are the terms for using Boardless, the party game where one shared screen and everyone's phones become the table. Plain English, no surprises. By hosting or joining a game you agree to them.
The short version
- Boardless is a game you play with people you invite. Play fair and be kind.
- It is provided free, as-is, with no guarantee it is always available.
- You are responsible for what you type and share at your table.
- The games, name, artwork and code belong to us; you get to play, not to copy them.
Who can use Boardless
Boardless is meant for casual play among friends. If you are under 13 (or the minimum age for online services where you live), please play with a parent or guardian's permission. Hosts sign in with a Google account to start a table; joining a table needs only a room code and a nickname, and never an account.
Playing fair
You agree to use Boardless for ordinary, good-natured play. Please do not: harass, threaten or abuse other players; share content that is illegal, hateful or that you have no right to share; try to break, overload, probe or disrupt the game server or other people's tables; attempt to bypass the room codes, rate limits or sign-in gate; or use automated tools to create tables in bulk. Hosts control their own table and can lock it or remove a player at any time.
What you type is yours
Nicknames, chat messages and moves are yours, and you are responsible for them. They live only in the game server's memory while a table is open and vanish when it closes, so nothing you type is recorded or published by us. Keep it friendly for everyone at the table.
What belongs to us
The Boardless name, logo, the games and their rules, the artwork, music and the code are ours (or used with permission). You may play the games and share the join link with people you want to invite. You may not copy, resell, rebrand, reverse-engineer or build a competing service from Boardless without our written permission.
No guarantees
Boardless is provided free and “as is”. We hope it works flawlessly on game night, but we cannot promise it will always be available, bug-free or that a game will never drop. To the fullest extent the law allows, Boardless and the people behind it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it — it is a game, played at your own enjoyment.
Ending access
You can stop using Boardless whenever you like. We may suspend or close access — a table, a host account or the service — if these terms are broken or to protect other players and the service. Hosts who want their account removed can ask us; see our privacy page for what that clears.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Boardless grows. When we do, the date at the top changes with it, and continuing to play means you accept the new version.
